Coming Soon from Eaton: 5PX G2 UPS
Eaton has introduced the latest addition to their 5 series UPS line — the Eaton 5PX G2. The soon-to-be-released rackmount and tower UPS provides the maximum power possible at each power rating.
The 5PX G2 UPS has power ratings ranging from 1 to 3 kVA, with low and high voltage options and offers up to four optional external battery modules for extra runtime. The 5PX G2 UPS has reduced depth to conserve space allowing for high density wallmount rack options, with the 2 to 3 kVA models.

Eaton Transition to Industrial Gateway Network Management Cards
Eaton recently released a Sales Bulletin that announced its timeline for transition to industrial gateway network management cards for UPSs. To keep pace with the global information technology landscape, Eaton is announcing the intent to transition from its existing line of Power Xpert gateway UPS management cards to more advanced industrial gateway cards. Both of Eaton’s industrial gateway cards bring a host of improvements including gigabit network speeds as well as UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2 certification for cybersecurity.
Affected cards:
- Eaton Power Xpert Gateway X-Slot UPS Card, EOL effective December 31, 2021
- Eaton Power Xpert Gateway UPS Mini-Slot Card, EOL effective March 31, 2022
